Not everything is cancelled – a reminder from Sesame Street

sesame street, reminder, not cancelled

Our friends at Sesame Street want to remind you that not everything is cancelled. With no sporting events, concerts, movies, plays, play dates, schools, or parties, it may seem as though everything has been cancelled. Because everything basically has been cancelled. But not kindness, love, and hope. Those will never be canceled.

So, while we cannot attend sporting events, concerts, movies, plays, play dates, schools, or parties, we should embrace kindness, love, and hope. We are all in this together and all have to get through this. It’s a choice we have to make – make the whole coronavirus and social-distance thing awful or we can make it awesome.

If you have children of Sesame Street age, this is a reminder that like every other show, it’s no longer just a television show. The Sesame Street website has various educational games and videos. There is an art section, too. It’s far from ideal, it’s more screen time, but it’s something to do for the little ones.
